About Us

The Allentown School District Newcomer Academy serves a culturally and linguistically diverse population of more than 200 students from around the world. The Newcomer Academy programs are designed to support students who are new arrivals to the United States with minimal English language skills, as well as those who may have limited formal schooling in their native country. Our school offers focused English language instruction and supported content courses. Newcomer Academy is a transitional program for students to obtain adequate skills and tools to be successful in courses and integrated into their home school.
